Agniveers must meet physical and medical eligibility criteria according to their respective categories/trades.
- Soldier General Duty
- Matric (10th) pass with at least 33% marks.
- Minimum age 17.5 years and maximum age 21 years.
- Marital status must be unmarried.
- Soldier Technical
- 12th pass with a minimum of 50% marks, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 11th and 12th.
- Minimum age 17.5 years and maximum age 23 years.
- Marital status must be unmarried.
- Soldier Clerk
- 12th pass from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with at least 60% marks.
- Minimum age 17.5 years and maximum age 23 years.

- Pull-ups: 10 Pushups.
- Zig Zag Balance: walk over a zig-zag balance line without falling.
