The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has released a notification regarding the customs holidays list for 2025, along with the list of restricted holidays applicable to customs offices on their official website. Central Government administrative offices across India are allotted 14 mandatory holidays for each employee in the customs and indirect taxes department. Additionally, employees are permitted to take two days of leave in a year, selecting from the list of restricted holidays declared by the Government of India.
The Central Government has published an exhaustive list of holidays for Central Government (CG) offices located in Delhi and throughout India for the year 2025. To prioritize state-level local festivals and occasions, out of 17 gazetted holidays, 14 are declared holidays while another 3 will be determined by the respective state-level committee.
