EBC Caste List in Bihar: The Bihar state is having more than 104,099,452 population which is 3rd in the rank of most populated states of India. In Bihar mostly peoples lives in rural area, only 11.3% lives in urban areas. There are mainly five categories in Bihar state which include about 205 castes in total. These are General category (Gen), Other Backward Class (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Economically Backward Class (EBS) category.

Economically Backward Class (EBC) is a sub-category added by the central government of India for people whose family income is less than ₹8 lac per annum and don't belong to SC, ST or OBC category. In Bihar state EBS category include more than 110 castes which belongs to general category before enforcement of EBS category. The government of India has approved a 10% reservation for EBS category in government job and admission to government educational institutes. Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Backward Class (EBC) theme-selves are called OBC 1 and OBC 2. The EBC caste list in Bihar state is given below.
