EBC Caste List in Bihar: Bihar is one of the most populated states in India, with a population exceeding 104 million. The majority of the population resides in rural areas, with only about 11.3% living in urban centers. The state is divided into five main categories, encompassing around 205 castes. These categories include General, Other Backward Class (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Economically Backward Class (EBC).
Economically Backward Class (EBC) was introduced by the central government to support families with an annual income below ₹8 lakhs who do not belong to SC, ST, or OBC groups.
