EWS Result and School List 2025:- The Government of NCT of Delhi, Directorate of Education announces the EWS draw result for the academic year 2025-26 for admission of EWS/DG & CWSN category students at entry-level classes (Nursery/Pre-School, KG/Pre-primary, Class-1) in private unaided recognized schools. Eligible students who have applied for EWS admission can check the name of the school allotted to them by logging into the EWS/DG/FREESHIP lottery result for session 2025-26. The EWS draw list for nursery and pre-school admissions has also been issued by the NCT Delhi. Parents can visit the online portal www.edudel.nic.in using their registration ID & date of birth (DoB) to view the EWS merit list.

As per the Right to Education (RTE) Act of 2009, a total of 25% of seats are reserved for EWS/DG (22%) and children with disabilities (3%) for admissions in entry-level classes-nursery, kindergarten, and first class. Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Disadvantaged Group (DG) and Children With Special Needs (CWSN) can apply for free and compulsory elementary education admission under RTE Act 2009. The complete process to check the EWS Result is provided below, step by step.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Directorate of Education, Delhi at https://www.edudel.nic.in or https://edustud.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on “EWS / DG Admissions and EWS / Freeship Admissions.”

Step 3: Then, click on “EWS / DG 2025-26 Result,” and a new page will open on your screen.

Step 4: On this page, enter your credentials, such as the candidate’s registration number and date of birth.

Step 5: After clicking the submit button, the results will appear on your screen.

• If selected, it will show the allotted school name.
• If not selected, it will display "It is regretted that you have not been selected in the draw of lots. You can wait for the next allotment list."
• If the data entered is incorrect, it will show "No record Found."

Step 6: It is advisable to save a copy of the results on your computer for future reference, and also obtain a printout.

Note: The school once allotted to an applicant under EWS/DG & CWSN category through computerized draw shall not be changed under any circumstances.

Delhi EWS School Merit List 2025

On 14 March 2025, the Directorate of Education, EDUDEL released the first list of candidates for the EWS Result 2025-26. All children whose names appear on the list will be chosen and assigned to various schools in Delhi for the admission process within the application deadlines. After the primary round of admissions is successfully completed, the Directorate of Education will base their next decisions on seat availability, which will lead to the generation of the EWS second result list through a computerized draw.

Applicants who are allotted schools through the computerized draw of lots under EWS/DG/FREESHIP RTE Act-2009 are required to approach the allotted school with the following documents:

• Print-out of the application form submitted during registration.
• Two photographs of the applicant.
• Proof of date of birth (self-attested photocopy).
• Proof of residence (self-attested copy).
• Documentary proof for EWS/DG & CWSN category (self-attested copy).

The admission will be CANCELLED if any submitted documents are found to be fake or forged at any stage, and criminal proceedings may also be initiated against the parents or guardians.

Delhi EWS 2nd List 2025

The Directorate of Education will announce the EWS 2nd list for 2025-26 following the completion of the admission process based on the EWS 1st draw list. The specific date for the announcement will be confirmed soon. The admissions through the first list are nearly complete, and the second draw result will be based on the available seats after the EWS/DG/CWSN first round allotment.

Parents and guardians can check the result using the registration ID and date of birth. Candidates will be notified through SMS on their registered mobile number and may receive a call from the allotted school regarding the selection and admission process. The selected candidates must present self-attested documents, including proof of date of birth, residential proof, documentary evidence for the EWS/DG & CWSN category, two passport-sized photographs of the child, and a copy of the form filled out earlier, to finalize the admission registration.

• Recent passport-size photograph of the child.
• ID proof: Student’s Aadhar card is mandatory for Delhi EWS Admission 2025-26.
• Age proof certificate: Date of birth certificate of the child.
• Category Certificate: Caste Certificate of parents (if belonging to SC/ST/OBC).
• Income certificate: Issued by the Revenue Department of GNCT of Delhi, if applicable. Note: income certificate is not required for applicants under Children with disabilities category.
• Residential proof certificate: for address proof of parents (accepted documents include: Permanent Residence Certificate/Aadhaar Card/Voter ID Card/Ration Card/Driving License/Bank Passbook/Electricity Bill) or Domicile Certificate of the child.
• Aadhaar Card of either Mother or Father/Voter ID/Driving License/PAN Card.
• Affidavit/Self Declaration of the child.
• Copy of the application form filled at the time of registration.
