The Right to Education Act 2009, section 12(1C), ensures a 25% reservation of seats in private unaided recognized schools for children from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Disadvantaged Group (DG), and Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Children from these categories are entitled to free and compulsory elementary education up to 14 years, which means until they complete the 8th grade in these schools. There are a total of 1,728 private unaided recognized schools eligible for admission in classes like Nursery, Pre-School, and Class I. Seats in 1,604 schools have already been filled based on the EWS 1st Draw Result. The remaining seats will be filled once the EWS 2nd and 3rd draw results are announced.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Government of NCT of Delhi Education Department at http://www.edudel.nic.in/welcome.htm.
Step 2: On the left corner of the homepage, click on "see all links" to find the EWS / DG / CWSN 2nd draw result link for 2025. Click on the link to download the EWS Result 2nd List 2025 PDF.
Step 3: To check the Delhi EWS result 2025 for EWS / DG Admission and EWS / Freeship Admissions, click on the direct link: http://edustud.nic.in/mis/studentadmission/webform1.aspx.
Step 4: A new page will open, find and click on the link for the EWS/DG/FREESHIP lottery result for the session 2025.
Step 5: Enter your registration number and date of birth, then click on the "Submit" button to view the EWS / DG / Freeship lottery result for 2025.
List of Documents Required for Delhi EWS Admission 2025
- Recent passport-size photograph of the child
- ID proof: The child’s Aadhaar card is essential for Delhi EWS Admission 2025.
- Age proof certificate: The child’s date of birth certificate.
- Category Certificate: Caste Certificate of parents if they belong to SC/ST/OBC.
- Income certificate: Required from the Revenue Department of GNCT of Delhi if applicable. Note that income certificates are not necessary for applicants under the Children with Disabilities category.
- Residential proof certificate: Documents such as Permanent Residence Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Ration Card, Driving License, Bank Passbook, or Electricity Bill that serve as proof of address.
- Aadhaar Card of Mother or Father, Voter ID, Driving License or PAN Card.
- Affidavit/Self Declaration of the child.
- Copy of the application form filled during registration.
