Karnataka Ratna Award List: The Karnataka Ratna is the highest civilian honour in Karnataka, awarded to individuals for their exceptional contributions in various fields. Established in 1992 by the Government of Karnataka, recipients receive a silver citation, a 50-gram gold medal, a memento, and a shawl.
The Karnataka Ratna Award is presented to individuals who have made significant achievements at the state level. Recently, Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar was posthumously awarded the Karnataka Ratna on November 1, 2022, during the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava. Known as Appu and the Power Star, Puneeth was a recipient of the National Award for Best Child Artist for his role in the film "Bettada Hoovu," and he followed in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Rajkumar, who received the Karnataka Ratna in 1992.
