Nagpur is located in the eastern part of the Indian state of Maharashtra, within the Vidarbha geographical region. The Nagpur district was established in 1702 by Bakht Buland Shah. North Nagpur is one of the 288 legislative assembly constituencies in Maharashtra, and Nitin Raut is the current guardian minister for the Nagpur district as well as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
