At present there are 33 Sainik school in India and admission in Sainik School for class 6 and class 9 are based on performance of candidates in AISSEE exam. All India Sainik School Entrance Examination is conducted every year by NTA. Sainik School offer admission on the bases of Sainik School merit list released by NTA. Admission in Sainik Schools will be through e-Counselling mode only. New Sainik Schools will also take part in counselling for admission in Class 6.
