Currently, there are 33 Sainik Schools in India, and admissions for classes 6 and 9 are based on candidates' performance in the AISSEE exam. The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination is organized annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Admissions are determined by the Sainik School merit list released by NTA. Furthermore, all Sainik Schools will participate in the e-Counselling process for Class 6 admissions.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the Sainik School merit list for 2025 on its official website, aissee.nta.nic.in. Sainik School Merit List 2025
The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination for 2025 took place on 9 January 2025. The results for AISSEE were announced on 24 February 2025. Candidates can check their names in the merit list for Class VI and Class IX.
