Gram Panchayat election reservation list of seats for all posts in Uttar Pradesh will be released by the district magistrate on Tuesday, allowing candidates in the fray to know where they can contest elections from. The final list, after all the objections are cleared, will be published around March 10.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister had announced a rotational formula for reservation according to which seats reserved for categories scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribe (ST) and other backward classes (OBC) earlier will not be reserved for the same categories this year.
Uttar Pradesh State has a total of 75 Zila panchayat chairmen's posts, 826 kshetra panchayats and 58,194 gram pradhans posts.
For the 75 zila panchayat chairpersons posts 16 have been reserved for scheduled cast (SC) candidates and 20 OBC candidates, including 6 and 7 for women among them respectively.
Out of the remaining unreserved 39 seats for zila panchayat chairmen's, 13 have again been reserved for women, leaving a total 0f 27 unserved seats.
For the 826 posts of kshetra panchayat chief's 5 have been reserved for scheduled tribe candidates, 171 for SC candidates and 223 for OBC candidates. Among these different categories of reserved seats, 4, 86 and 97 seats have respectively been further reserved for ST, SC and OBC women.
Out of the remaining general category seats 113 again have been reserved for women, leaving 314 seats unreserved. similarly out of the 58,194 posts of the gram pradhans, 19,659 seats haven been reserved for women.

- Step 2 : At home page go to Panchayat Reservation section or direct link to open http://sec.up.nic.in/ElecLive/SearchReservationOnPost.aspx.
- Step 3 : Select the post / pad and click on View option.
- Step 4 : The select list of reservation will be display take the print.
