WCR Apprentice Merit List 2025

West Central Railway has released the WCR apprentice merit list for training in the workshop and division as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act of 1961. Candidates who have applied for the WCR apprentice recruitment can now check if their name is in the Act Apprentice merit list. A total of 2521 vacancies are available for the engagement of Act Apprentices in the railway department for various trades including fitter, turner, carpenter, electrician, welder, mechanic, painter, refrigerator & AC mechanic, cable jointer/crane operator, electronics & mechanic, lineman, and wireman.

The minimum qualification required for apprenticeship training in the workshop is to pass the 10th examination and hold an ITI certification in any trade from NCVT or SCVT. The WCR apprentice merit list is compiled based on the average marks from matriculation and the ITI trade examination. The final merit list will be prepared trade/unit/community-wise at a ratio of 1.5 times the number of vacancies. Candidates who find their names in the merit list will be contacted for document verification.

How to Check WCR Apprentice Merit List

Follow the steps below to check the WCR Act Apprentice 2022-23 merit list:

1. Step 1: Go to the official website of West Central Railway: https://wcr.indianrailways.gov.in
2. Step 2: Navigate to the notices and notifications section and select the Act Apprentice recruitment 2023.
3. Step 3: Download the PDF file labeled "Act Apprentice 2022-23 Merit List" and search for your name or registration number in the document.
4. Step 4: The merit list will display essential information including name, registration number, date of birth, category, marks obtained, and date for document verification. Print or save a screenshot for your records.
5. Step 5: To download the admit card for document verification, input your registration number and date of birth and click the login button. Then, download the ACT Apprentice admit card.

Note: Selected candidates are required to report to the Railway Recruitment Cell at South Eastern Railway, 11, Garden Reach, Kolkata-700 043, on the date indicated next to their registration details, bringing all necessary documents.

List of Documents Required for ACT Apprentice

• Original marksheets and passing certificates for 8th and 10th grades.
• Original ITI Certificate and marksheet issued by NCVT/SCVT relevant to the trade of apprenticeship.
• Identity Proof: Aadhar Card, PAN Card, or driving license, etc.
• Printout of the online application form.
• Date of Birth certificate.
• Three recent passport-size photographs (as uploaded in the application form).
• Medical Fitness Certificate signed by an authorized government gazetted doctor.
• Community certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories (if applicable).
• PwBD Certificate (if applicable).
• Original certificate of Ex-Serviceman (if applicable).
