The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the CBSE cluster games list for various age groups and weight categories for both boys and girls. Students interested in participating in the CBSE games for the 2023-24 academic year can register online at the CBSE sports portal. Students or teams that secure the first and second positions will have the opportunity to compete in the CBSE national games. To be eligible for the CBSE cluster games, participants must be under the age of 11, 14, 17, and 19 as of December 31, 2025.
There are a total of 24 games across different age categories for boys and girls. The CBSE cluster games will take place tentatively from October 12, 2023, to October 31, 2023, followed by the CBSE national level games scheduled from November 2, 2023, to November 30, 2023. Interested players and students can register for these cluster and zonal games on the CBSE sports portal.

How to Apply for Participation in CBSE Cluster Games
The procedure for registering for the CBSE cluster games and the participation process for students, players, and teams is outlined below:
Step 1: Visit the official CBSE Sports website at https://cbseit.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the CBSE sports system or use the direct link https://cbseit.in/cbse/2023/sports/Home/Index.
Step 3: Click on "School" on the CBSE Sports System (CSS) homepage where you will see options to either "Apply for organizing CBSE game" or "Registration or Apply to participate." You can find the direct link for CBSE sports registration 2023-24 here.
Step 4: To register and apply for participation in CBSE sports games, log in using the username and password provided by the schools during the LOC or student registration process. Fill in the online form for each participating student, including age proof and class details, and create a UID for each student.
Step 5: Click on "Apply to Participate" to register students for CBSE games, entering all necessary details for players and teams participating in CBSE sporting events.
Step 6: Finally, send an email to the school organizing the CBSE cluster games.
Note: Age is determined as of December 31 of the year in which the events or sports are organized. The last date for registering and applying to participate in CBSE Games has been extended to October 7, 2023, without a late fee.
CBSE Sports Registration 2023-24
CBSE schools looking to organize any CBSE sports event at the cluster or national level can submit their registration before August 31, 2023, on the official website at http://www.cbse.gov.in. School management can log in with the username and password used for LOC and class 9 to 12 student registration by clicking on the "Apply to Organize CBSE Games" link on the CBSE website's homepage.
Registration for CBSE sports players or teams for participation in CBSE cluster games can be done in three steps at https://cbseit.in/cbse/2023/sports.
Step 1 - Registration: Conduct online registration at the CBSE official website by creating a UID for every student participating in the cluster/zone games. Schools need to complete the registration form for students online following the instructions mentioned above.
Step 2 - Apply to Participate: After successful student registration on the CBSE Sports portal, click the "Apply to Participate" button to select any game or event for sponsoring your school students in CBSE cluster sports events.
Step 3 - Send Confirmation to Organizing Schools: After successful registration and applying to participate in CBSE games, schools are recommended to send a confirmation email to the organizing school at least one week before the event date.
CBSE Cluster Sports Dates for 2023-24
The Central Board of Secondary Education will organize CBSE cluster or zonal level sports events from October 12, 2023, to October 31, 2023. The CBSE cluster sports calendar, including the list of venues and dates, will be announced on September 29, 2023. The results of all CBSE sports events will be shared on the CBSE sports portal within 24 hours of the event's conclusion. After the completion of the CBSE cluster/zonal level sports events, students who finish in the first and second positions in individual and team games (within each category and age group) will qualify to participate in the CBSE national level sports games scheduled for November 2, 2023, to November 30, 2023.
Documents Required for CBSE Cluster Games Registration
- Date of Birth certificate of the student or a certificate of DOB from HOS/Principal
- Class 10 passing certificate or marks sheet
- Aadhar Card
- School ID Card
- Eligibility certificate signed by the Principal or Head Master
- Previous year final exam mark sheet of the applicant

A player shall be under 11, 14, 17, & 19 years of age as of 31.12.2023. It depends upon game or event type for example Skating has all 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 & 19 years age groups while Basketball, Football, Kabaddi has only 19 years age group. For more details check List of Games and Age-Groups

There is no rule regarding class, only age category is consider. Moreover a junior player is permitted to play in senior age group but his/her participation in the original group will be forfeited. CBSE consider only "AGE Category" and don't consider class. So anyone can participate fulfilling the age requirement for sports and event . Age is calculated as on 31 December 2023. (Its is official reply from Deputy Secretary CBSE Sports Dr. Manjit Singh)

The zonal level event will held in same zone/cluster organizing school. The venue with name & address of school and event date of CBSE sports will be displayed in CBSE calendar 2023-24.

Good evening sir, will the dates of Football Boys of cluster II are not announced, it is blank in the date column and when I enquired at the school they said to look in the CBSE website the updates will come there. But in your last message you said the school will give the dates. So what to do and how to know the final dates? Even the what's app group is still not created.
