The CSC scheme emphasizes delivery of Government to Citizen (G2C) Services, Business to Citizen (B2C) Services, Health Services, Financial Inclusion Services, Education Services, and Agriculture Services. All VLEs can submit their complaints through the CSC Digital Seva Portal at https://digitalseva.csc.gov.in/.

Common Service Centres are set to create a wide array of e-services through a single platform. The CSC Scheme aims to empower more women as VLEs, facilitate the standardization of services, and promote capacity building among stakeholders. At CSCs, localized help desk support is available. This network will connect local communities with government departments, businesses, banks, insurance companies, and educational institutions, having a significant impact on various sectors of the economy.

CSC 2.0 Scheme

Following an assessment of the Common Service Centres (CSC) scheme, the government initiated the CSC 2.0 scheme in 2015, aiming to broaden the reach of CSCs across all Gram Panchayats nationwide. Under the CSC 2.0 scheme, at least one CSC will be established in each of the 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats across the country.

CSC 2.0 aims to enhance service delivery through a unified technology platform, thereby ensuring the availability of e-services, especially G2C services, to citizens throughout the country.

Key Features of CSC 2.0 Scheme

  • A self-sufficient network of 2.5 lakh CSCs in Gram Panchayats
  • A wide array of e-services accessible through a single delivery platform
  • Standardization of services and building capacity among stakeholders
  • Localized help desk support
  • Ensuring sustainability for VLEs through optimal commission sharing
  • Promoting more women as VLEs
