Department of Personnel and Training Govt. of India has released DoPT holiday list 2024 for central government employees. The employees working in central government offices can download DoPT holiday list 2024 pdf from the link provided at the end of this article. There are total 14 fixed holidays during year 2024. In addition to 14 fixed holidays two holidays can be chosen from the restricted (optional) holidays list by central government employees. All central government administrative offices will remain closed on holidays declared by Personal and Training Department.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has also released a list of restricted holidays. The employees of the central government administrative offices are allowed to take two days leave in a year from these DoPT restricted holidays. If any festival or public holiday falls on a weekend day or any other non-working day or two festival or holiday fall on same day then there will be no substitute holiday for that particular public holiday.
