List of BJP Ruling States in India: As of 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its coalition, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), govern 16 states in India along with one union territory. The BJP has been in power at the central government level since 2019, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and has maintained a majority in both houses of parliament.
Currently, the BJP rules in states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Haryana, Manipur, and Tripura. The party also has coalition governments in Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, and the union territory of Puducherry.
