MEDISEP hospital list of Kerala MEDISEP scheme 2024. Medical Insurance for State Employees and Pensioners Scheme provides cashless medical health insurance coverage to state Government all serving employees. The High court of Kerala employees who are covered under the existing Kerala Government Servant Medical Attendant Rules ( KGSMA Rule,1960) and pensioners will also be included in MEDISEP scheme.

The newly recruited employees and their family, part time contingent employees, part time teachers, non teaching staff of aided schools and colleges and their family and pensioners on compulsory basis, and all Civil Services officers serving the Government of Kerala on optional basis. As per MEDISEP the beneficiary will be entitled to Rs 3 Lakh every year, it will cover 1920 medical procedures with a deduction of monthly premium of Rs 500 from salary of employees.

MEDISEP Scheme Benefits List

This Scheme contemplate cashless treatment facility to all beneficiaries through an insurance company and a network of empaneled hospitals

• Basic Benefit Package:- The Insurer shall pay all expenses (as per package costs specified) incurred in course of medical treatment availed by the beneficiaries in empaneled hospitals (24 hours admission clause) for the medical, surgical and day care procedures as enlisted in Annexure 1.
• Additional Benefit Package: The Insurance coverage given over and above the basic coverage for catastrophic illness specified enlisted in Annexure
• Coverage of Preexisting diseases: All diseases under the Scheme shall be covered from day one and there shall not be any waiting period.
• Pre & Post hospitalization benefit: means medical expenses incurred in the same hospital where agreed Medical Treatment or Surgical Procedure is carried out during 15 days before hospitalisation and 15 days after discharge. The final package cost is inclusive of pre and post hospitalisation expenses.
• Newborn child/children to an insured mother would be covered from day one up to the expiry of the current policy plan period. However, next year the child/children could be covered as a regular member of the family. All Congenital diseases of newborn child/children shall be covered under the scheme.
• The insurance coverage shall start from day one and continue till the expiry of the policy plan period.
• In Case of Accident or other medical emergency included in approved list of treatment and procedures will be provided even if done under non- empanelled hospitals.

MEDISEP Beneficiary List and MEDISEP Eligibility List

There shall be no age limit for the beneficiaries/ dependents except dependent child/children. All serving employees of State Government including teaching and non-teaching staff of Aided Schools and Colleges by remitting prescribed premium, all State Pensioners and their spouses and family, Pensioners of Local Self Government (LSG) Institutions and Universities in the Kerala State .
