The government of India has released the SBM Beneficiary List 2025 for the Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin (SBM-G) under the Individual Household Latrine Scheme phase II. Citizens who have applied for the construction of toilets in their households under the Open Defecation Free (ODF) mission can now check their names in the SBM beneficiary list for Individual Household Latrines (IHHL).
The applications have been verified by the member secretaries and chairpersons of the respective ward committees. Approved beneficiaries of the Individual Household Latrine scheme will receive ₹2000 after the online approval of their applications. The second installment for toilet construction will be provided after thorough scrutiny of the completed toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM).

75% of rural villages have declared themselves as ODF plus (Open Defecation Free). The government has initiated Phase II of SBM-G which focuses on solid and liquid waste management facilities and sanitation in villages. As part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), all gram panchayats across states and union territories in India aim to declare themselves "open-defecation free" (ODF) by 2 October 2025.
