The Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Medical & Health Services has released the UP ANM GNM merit list for admission to Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) and General Nurse Midwifery (GNM) training in 2025 in government training centres. Candidates who have applied for these courses can check their names in the merit list available at dgmhup.gov.in. You can download the provisional list of 2700 shortlisted candidates for ANM training and 1359 shortlisted candidates for GNM training through the links at the end of this article.
The UP ANM & GNM merit list will be prepared based on the average marks secured by candidates in their class 10 and class 12 board examinations. Notably, 80% of ANM seats are reserved for female candidates with the required educational qualifications as specified in the notification. UP ANM GNM Merit List 2025
- Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) Merit List - The UP ANM merit list will be developed based on the average marks obtained in the higher school and intermediate board examinations. To be eligible for ANM training, a candidate must have passed the intermediate (10+2) examination from the UP board or an equivalent board.
- General Nurse Midwifery (GNM) Merit List - The UP GNM merit list will rely on the average marks acquired by candidates in their Higher and Intermediate examinations. The minimum qualification for GNM training is the intermediate examination (10+2), with mandatory 40% marks in English.

Note: Out of the ANM provisional list of 2700 shortlisted candidates, the final merit list will include 1800 candidates for the ANM training centre, with the remaining 900 candidates placed on the waiting list for ANM admission. Similarly, from the GNM provisional merit list of 1359 shortlisted candidates, a final merit list of 453 candidates will be published while the remaining 906 candidates will be placed on the waiting list for GNM admission.

Step 2: Navigate to the "Latest News" section and find the notifications for "ANM training 2025 merit list" and "GNM training 2025 merit list".
Step 3: Click on the link to download the ANM & GNM training merit list PDF file.
Step 4: Now, search for your name or registration number in the merit list. Make sure to print or take a screenshot of your details in the merit list.

Reservation in UP ANM Admission
- 80% of seats are reserved for female candidates with minimum educational qualifications.
- 20 % of seats are reserved for ASHA Karyakatri / Asha Sangini candidates who have served in the department / NHM Uttar Pradesh for the last 5 years.
Reservation in UP GNM Admission
- 10% of seats are reserved for male candidates.
- Out of the remaining seats, 15% are reserved for ANM candidates who have served in the department / NHM Uttar Pradesh for the last 5 years.
Note: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories will be applied as per the government order. Applicants from outside Uttar Pradesh state will not benefit from the reservation.

Only final merit list will be published. There are only 1800 seats for ANM Admission and in provisional merit list 2700 candidates has been shortlisted for documents verification. Only chance of second merit list if candidates skips admission in large number.
