The minimum qualification for ITI admission in Group A is completion of the 10th class, whereas Group B requires completion of the 8th class. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks and preferences of the candidates. Separate merit lists will be generated for Group A and Group B trades, with seat allocation happening separately for both groups.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to check the merit list and seat allotment results:
- Step 1: Visit the official website: https://www.scvtup.in/scvt_2023
- Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the "Important Notice" section and look for "प्रोविजनल रैंक list" and "ITI merit list".
- Step 3: Candidates must log in using their registration number and password to check the rank list and to submit their preferred trade/ITI.
- Step 4: To download the UP ITI merit list PDF, visit the download section and select the notification tab for the merit list link.
- Step 5: Print a copy for your records.
Note: The merit list will be compiled on a district, group, and trade basis for candidates who applied in their respective local regions. Subsequently, new applicants will be allotted seats based on their choices after the initial applicants.

- Educational Qualification Certificates: 8th/10th/12th marksheets and passing certificates.
- Identity Proof: Aadhar card of the candidate.
