As part of this initiative, West Bengal will witness civil defence drills across 31 locations in 23 districts, focusing on preparedness for hostile threats and emergency scenarios. In a high-level meeting with the Union Home Secretary, the state administration confirmed its readiness with the availability of: 62 satellite phones 95 sirens in Kolkata 25–30 sirens in other districts These drills aim to evaluate and strengthen the response capabilities of local authorities, volunteers, and civilians in case of a potential attack or emergency.
