The Digi Shakti Portal has been established by the Uttar Pradesh government to assist deserving students by providing them with free laptops and smartphones. Objective of Digi Shakti Portal
According to the Uttar Pradesh government, the entire process from registration to distribution of smartphones and tablets is free of charge. The objectives include:

- Improving educational standards
- Providing quality education for all
- Upgrading resources for students
Features of Digi Shakti Portal
- The portal will help the government track the beneficiaries of free laptops and tablets.
- It will display how many individuals have availed benefits and how many are still pending distribution.
- Around 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones will be distributed to eligible students through this portal.
- Beneficiaries do not need to register themselves online or visit any center for registration.
- The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated approximately 4700 crore rupees for this initiative.

Eligibility for Digi Shakti Portal Registration

- Must have a permanent address in Uttar Pradesh.
- Must be enrolled in government or private institutions (schools/colleges).
- Family annual income should be equal to or less than 2 lakh.
