The first Modern Olympic Games were held in year 1896 at Athens in Greece. At that time there were only nine sports organized by International Olympic Committee (IOC) and 14 nation took part in this event. In 1900 Summer Olympic of Paris total 95 events in 19 Sports were organized and 26 Nation take part in this event. Cricket was also part of sports for the first time in Olympics.
From time to time many sports has been added and removed from the events of Olympics. In 2012 London Olympics there were 26 sports, increasing to 28 in 2016 Rio Olympics and 33 in 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In the Summer Olympics of 2024 Paris there will be 32 sports with debut of breaking, while karate, baseball and softball will be dropped from the events.

Paris 2024 Olympic games and Paralympic games is scheduled to held from 26 July to 11 August 2023 in France. 2024 Paris Olympic games includes 329 events in 28 sports (4 new sports added). More than 10,500 athletes of 206 National Olympic Committees will participate in 19 days of competition of 28 sports + (including 4 additional sports).
