Rajasthan District List :- Rajasthan is situated at a latitude of 23.3 to 30.12 degrees north and a longitude of 69.30 to 78.17 degrees east in northern India. The Tropic of Cancer crosses through the southern tip of the state. It shares borders with Punjab to the north, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast and Gujarat to the southwest. Additionally, Rajasthan also shares western and northwestern borders with Pakistan.
The capital of Rajasthan is Jaipur. The state now consists of a total of 50 districts, including 19 newly formed districts. Rajasthan is the largest state in India by area, covering 342,239 square kilometers. With a population of approximately 68,548,437, the state ranks seventh in terms of population and has a literacy rate of 66.1%. List of New Districts in Rajasthan for 2025
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has declared the formation of 3 new divisions and 19 new districts in Rajasthan. This brings the total number of districts in Rajasthan to 50. The Jaipur district has now been divided into three new districts: Jaipur North, Jaipur South, and Dudu. Similarly, the Jodhpur district has been divided into three new districts: Jodhpur East, Jodhpur West, and Phalodi. Additionally, two new districts, Beaswar and Kekri, have been created from the former Ajmer district. The list of the new districts in Rajasthan for 2025 is as follows:
