The Government of Rajasthan has announced the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana List for 2025, aimed at distributing smartphones to women and students in the state under the Chiranjeevi Yojana and Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana. Launched by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on 10 August 2023, this initiative seeks to empower women through increased access to technology and the digital world.
Overview of the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana
The Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana is designed to provide internet-enabled smartphones to the women heads of Chiranjeevi families. The program plans to distribute over 1.35 crore smartphones with 3 years of internet connectivity. As part of the first phase, 40 lakh smartphones have already been distributed, along with a transfer of ₹6800 to the beneficiaries' bank accounts to facilitate the purchase of the device.

Procedure to Avail Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana
Eligible women can register at district administration offices or at government-organized camps. They should bring documents such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, and their registered mobile number. The process includes e-KYC verification at the IGSY portal at these camps. After completing the registration, beneficiaries can select their preferred SIM card and mobile phone.

- Navigate to 'IGSY Yojana Eligibility Check' on the homepage.
- Enter your Jan Aadhar Number, select your beneficiary type, and click submit.
- Your eligibility status will be displayed on the screen.
- Take a printout or screenshot for your records.
Criteria for Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana
- Applicants must be residents of Rajasthan.
- Single Women associated with Chiranjeevi Families must have a Jan Aadhar card.
- Widowed Women from Chiranjeevi Families are eligible.
- Family income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh annually.
- Girl Students in government schools from 9th to 12th grade are included.
- Girl Students in government ITIs, polytechnic, and Sanskrit colleges are also eligible.
- Families with women who have worked for at least 100 days under MNREGA and 50 days in the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Scheme qualify as well.
