The Prime Minister has recently revealed exciting news regarding the Vande Bharat Express, announcing the introduction of 75 new routes to enhance travel across India. This initiative is part of the celebration for the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" and aims to launch these new trains in a span of 75 weeks.
The Vande Bharat Express, also known as Train 18, was first inaugurated by the Prime Minister on February 15, 2019. Currently, there are 8 operational Vande Bharat trains traversing various routes, contributing significantly to modernizing Indian Railways.

Note:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently flagged off a new Vande Bharat service from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad on January 16, 2023. This train completes a distance of 699 kilometers in approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes, and it stops at major stations, including Warangal and Khammam. The full list of the new Vande Bharat trains will be updated continually as they are inaugurated.
Vande Bharat Express Trains List in India
The inaugural Vande Bharat Express Train service began in 2019, connecting Varanasi and New Delhi. With enhanced technology and safety features, these high-speed trains include amenities such as Kavach, automatic doors, reclining seating, Wi-Fi hotspots, and a GPS-based information system.
Currently, there are 8 operational Vande Bharat trains servicing 75 routes across the nation. The eighth service connecting Vijayawada and Secunderabad will soon be launched.
