Bihar Cabinet Minister List 2024:- The Janata Dal United (JDU) ended the alliance with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and formed a new alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) (Liberation) CPI(ML)(L), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM).
The total number of Bihar Assembly seats is 243 including 38 scheduled castes and 2 scheduled tribes reserved seats. For majority and formation of government in Bihar state, more than 50% (122+1 seats) are needed. In Bihar Assembly Election 2020, JD(U) has won 43, RJD won 75, BJP won 74, Congress won 19, CPI(ML)(L) won12, CPI (Marxist) won 2 seats, HAM won 4, and Independent won 1 seat.
Nitish Kumar formed a new government for the 8th time with total 160 MLAs including JD(U) 43+ RJD 75 + Congress 19+ CPI(ML)(L) 12+ CPI(M) 2+ Independent (1). In new grand alliance, Nitish Kumar is appointed as Chief Minister and Tejashwi Yadav as Deputy Chief Minister of the state. Bihar Cabinet Minister List 2024 is given below.

The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar has kept the Home Ministry and General Administration department, Cabinet Secretariat, Election and all other departments which are not allocated to any other minister.
