The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the updated Minimum Support Price (MSP) list for rabi and kharif crops. This new price list reflects the changes in MSP for the marketing seasons of both crops during the year 2025.
The increase in MSP for rabi crops for the marketing season 2024-25 has been implemented to assure a minimum profit margin of 50%. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance farmers' income and welfare significantly by 2024.
New MSP Price List 2025
The government has elevated the MSP of rabi crops for the 2024-25 season to ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their products. The highest absolute increase in MSP from the previous year has been approved for both Lentil (Masur) and Rapeseed & Mustard, resulting in an increase of ₹400 per quintal each, followed by a ₹130 per quintal rise for grams. Moreover, Safflower has seen an increase of ₹114 per quintal in comparison to the last year, 2023-24.

New MSP Price List 2025 for Rabi Crops
The new MSPs for rabi crops for the 2024-25 season will cover all incurred costs of farmers, which include:
- Hired human labour,
- Bullock labour/machine labour
- Rent incurred for leased land
- Expenses on material inputs like seeds, fertilizers, manures
- Irrigation charges
- Depreciation on implements and farm buildings
- Interest on working capital
- Diesel/electricity for operation of pump sets
- Imputed value of family labour
