The Tamil Nadu Government has released the TASMAC holidays list for 2025 applicable to all TASMAC licensed retail and vending shops. This includes TASMAC (FL1) shops, IMFL retail vending outlets, and attached bars, alongside FL2 Bars in clubs, FL3 bars in hotels, and FL3(A) licensed Tamil Nadu Tourism Hotel Bars, FL3(AA), and FL11 Bars. On these holidays, the sale of liquor will be halted in the state of Tamil Nadu, as mandated by the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (TASMAC).
Established under the Companies Act of 1956 on 23.05.1983, TASMAC is a government-owned corporation located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It holds the exclusive rights for wholesale IMFL distribution across the state as per the guidelines in the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act of 1937.
