Khelo India State Centres of Excellence, known as KISCE, list for the first and second phase is still in use in 2026. Sports Ministry set up these centres under Khelo India Scheme to give young and talented players access to good stadiums, coaches and sports science support close to home.
Khelo India is a national programme for development of sports run by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Under this programme, KISCE centres were built on existing stadiums and sports complexes, and each centre mainly handles three sporting disciplines.
In 2026, the scheme is running fully and official Khelo India portal along with Khelo India dashboard lists KISCE centres, Khelo India Centres and accredited academies together. As per the new scheme cycle, the aim is to run centres of excellence in every state and Union Territory.
