Kozhikode Containment Zone List: The Government of Kerala has declared the Kozhikode containment zone list to prevent the spread of the Nipah virus. The Kozhikode district administration has announced holidays for all schools, educational institutions, banks, and anganwadis. There will be a complete restriction on entry and exit from containment zones. The wards of 9 panchayats have been barricaded, and all schools and anganwadis in these areas will remain closed until further notice. Only essential shops will be allowed to function in these panchayats.
The district collector of Kozhikode has designated 9 panchayats as containment zones, including Ayancheri, Mahruthonkara, Thiruvallur, Kuttiadi, Kayakkodi, Kavilumpara, Vilyappilli, Changaroth, and Purameri. Residents in these wards are advised to wear masks, use sanitizers, and follow social distancing guidelines by avoiding large gatherings.
