Kozhikode Containment Zone List: Government of Kerala state has declared Kozhikode containment zone list to prevent spread of Nipah virus. The Kozhikode district administration has declared holidays for all school, educational institutions, banks and anganwadi. There will be no entry or exit from containment zones. The wards of 9 panchayats has been barricaded and all schools and anganwadi in these area will remain closed till further notice. Only essential shops will be allowed to function in these panchayats.
The district collector of Kozhikode has declared 9 panchayat as containment zone including Ayancheri, Mahruthonkara, Thiruvallur, Kuttiadi, Kayakkodi, Kavilumpara, Vilyappilli, Changaroth and Purameri panchayat. The people in these wards are advised to use mask, sanitizers and social distancing must be followed by avoiding gathering of people.
