List of Freedom Fighters of India: The British East India Company ruled India for almost 100 years from 1757 to 1857. For the first time, India Freedom Fighters struggled for Independence at mass level in 1857 which was named Indian Rebellion of 1857 or First War of Independence or Sepoy Mutiny which was lead by Mangal Pandey. The Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi, Bahadur Shah, Nana Saheb, Tatya Tope, Kunwar Singh, Man Singh, Bakht Khan, Begum Hazrat Mahal and many more freedom fighters fight together against British East India Company for freedom of India.

The India was under British Rule from 1857 to 1947. The Indian free fighters put efforts and struggled and even scarified their lives for the freedom of India from British rule. In 1900s for the first time, Bal Gangadhar Tilak started a campaign to boycott British goods and use only Indian goods.

Mahatma Gandhi declared strike against Rowlett Act in 1919 and Lala Lajpat Rai protested against Simon Commission in 1928. Bhagat Singh attempted to bomb the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi and participated in various revolt activities against British Raj. Mahatma Gandhi started Non-Cooperation movement in 1920 and Quit India Movement in 1942. Finally with all efforts of Indian freedom fighters, India got Independence on 15 August 1947. On 15 August 2022 India commemorate, its 75 Independent Day. The theme of this Independence day is "Nation First, Always First". PM Modi has announced Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from 13 August to 15 August 2022.
