PMMVY Beneficiary List: Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was started by government of India in 2010 as Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana and implemented by Ministry of Women and Child development. Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana is renamed as Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) in year 2017. The main motive of PMMVY scheme is provide maternity benefit of ₹6,000 to pregnant and lactating women of 19 years of age or above for the first live birth.

It provides a partial wage compensation to women for wage-loss during childbirth and childcare and to provide conditions for safe delivery and good nutrition and feeding practices. PMMVY beneficiary are provided assistance as grant-in-aid to state governments. A total amount of ₹6000 is provide directly in bank account of PMMVY beneficiaries in three installment i.e. 1st installment of ₹1000 on early registration of pregnancy, 2nd installment of ₹2000 after six month of pregnancy, 3rd installment of ₹ 2000 after child birth is registered and additional cash incentive of ₹1000 under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) for institutional delivery.

Eligibility Criteria for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)

All pregnant women of 19 years of age and above are eligible for PMMVY scheme. An amount of ₹6,000 is paid in two installments of ₹3,000 each to pregnant women and lactating mothers of 19 years of age or above for the first live birth.

  • Register pregnancy at the Anganwadi centre (AWC) upon realizing conception has occurred.
  • The regnant women and lactating mother must register within 730 days of pregnancy.
  • Pregnancy must be conceived on or after 1 January 2017
  • Attend at least one prenatal care session and taking Iron-folic acid tablets and TT1 (tetanus toxoid injection).
  • Attend at least one counseling session at the AWC or healthcare centre.
  • Attend at least one prenatal care session and TT2.
  • Register the birth
  • Immunize the child with OPV and BCG at birth, at six weeks and at ten weeks
  • Attend at least two growth monitoring sessions within three months of delivery
  • Exclusively breastfeed for six months and introduce complementary feeding as certified by the mother.
  • Immunize the child with OPV and DPT vaccine.
  • Attend at least two counseling sessions on growth monitoring and infant and child nutrition and feeding between the third and sixth months after delivery

Note: Pregnant Women (PW) & Lactating Mothers (LM) who are in regular employment with central or state government or PSUs or those who are in receipt of similar benefits under any law are not eligible to get benefits of PMMVY scheme. Pregnant and Lactating AWWs/ AWHs/ ASHA may also avail the benefits under the PMMVY subject to fulfilment of PMMVY scheme.

PMMVY Scheme Benefits

  • First Installment : Cash incentive of ₹1000 on early registration of pregnancy at Anganwadi Centre (AWC) or approved health facility.
  • Second Installment: ₹2000 after six month of pregnancy on receiving at least one ante-natal check up (ANC)
  • Third Installment: ₹ 2000 after child birth is registered and child received the first cycle of BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis B, or its equivalent/ substitute.
  • Additional Cash Incentive: The eligible beneficiaries would receive the incentive of ₹1000 given under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) for Institutional delivery.

How to Apply for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)

The beneficiary need to fill up the prescribed scheme forms for registration and claim of the instalment and submit the same at the Anganwadi Centre/ approved Health facility. The beneficiary should obtain acknowledgment from Anganwadi Worker/ASHA/ANM for record and future reference.

Step 2: Now go to beneficiary section and click on "Register New User" button.

Step 3: Now fill form by providing necessary details beneficiary name, mobile number, email id and click on register Button

Step 4: Now enter your necessary details like name, address and account details etc.

Step 5: Now click on verify button to complete registration.

How to register offline for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)

Step 1: First visit Anganwadi Centre (AWC) or nearest government approved health facility implementing PMMVY scheme.

Step 2: Fill application form 1A along with copy of MCP Card (Mother and Child Protection Card), beneficiary Id proof, husband id proof, Bank/ Post Office Account details of the beneficiary.

Step 3: Fill beneficiary details, husband's details, address, mobile number, bank details and submit this to AWC.

Step 4: For claiming second instalment, beneficiary is required to submit duly filled up Form 1-B after six months of pregnancy along with the copy of MCP Card showing at least one ANC.

Step 5: For claiming third instalment, beneficiary is required to submit duly filled up Form 1-C along with copy of child birth registration and copy of MCP card showing that the child has received first cycle of immunization or its equivalent/substitutes.

Note: The beneficiary should obtain acknowledgment from Anganwadi. The proposal received from AWW/ASHA/ANM would be checked by Supervisor/ ANM, consolidated and shall be submitted within a week to the concerned CDPO/ Health Block Officer (Medical Officer) for the payment processing.
