The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the UP Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana, which aims to enhance the economic conditions of farmers. The initiative was launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and is set to be implemented in the financial year 2025-26.
The main goal of the UP Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana is to increase farmers' incomes and work towards the vision of doubling farmers' income by 2025. The government is focusing on instant payments for the crops grown by farmers to support their financial status. The primary crops produced in Uttar Pradesh include wheat, maize, jowar, and sugarcane. Additionally, to further encourage agricultural productivity, plans are underway to establish new Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).
