Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority (परीक्षा नियामक प्राधिकारी) for UP NMMS Scholarship, has announced dates for National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination. The eligible candidates of class 8th can apply for UP NMMS scholarship exam from 23 August 2023 to 18 September 2023. The NMMS Scholarship Exam will held on 5 November 2023. UP NMMS scholarship list 2023 will be based on marks obtained by registered candidates in General Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Academic Aptitude Test (SAT). The candidates will be able to check Uttar Pradesh NMMS 2023 result at official website http://www.entdata.co.in. There will be 15143 selected for National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS Scholarship) based on their performance in written examination. The selected student can check their status of scholarship payment at NSP portal.

The state government of Uttar Pradesh will conduct NMMS scholarship exam on 5 November 2023. The selected students will be awarded scholarship of ₹12000 per annum (₹1000 each month) during 9th to 12th class for state government, government aided and non-government aided schools.

Eligibility Criteria for Up NMMS Scholarship
- Candidate's annual family income should be less than ₹3,50,000
- The students who are studying in 8th class in government and non-government aided schools can apply for NMMS scholarship examination.
- The applicants should have passed 7th class in year 2022-23 with minimum 55% marks and 50% marks for SC and ST candidates.
- Reservation certificate issued by the Tehsildar/competent officer for physically challenged, OBC, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, freedom fighter category students.
Note: The students studying Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are not eligible for Up NMMS Scholarship. The students studying in private schools are also not eligible for scholarship program under this scheme.
Up NMMS Scholarship Exam Pattern
Up NMMS Scholarship Exam will be held on 5 November 2023 in one session in two parts.
- General Mental Ability Test (MAT) - Questions testing verbal non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure.
- Academic Aptitude Test (SAT) - Questions covering subjects science, social studies and mathematics of 7th and 8th class.

Note: Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking.
UP NMMS Scholarship Merit List Result 2023
UP NMMS Scholarship merit list will be based on performance of students in MAT and SAT exam. The minimum qualifying criteria for general category candidates is 40% marks. For SC/ST students minimum cut off marks is 32%. For NMMS Scholarship, candidate must have passed class 7th examination with 55% marks for general category and 50% marks for SC/ST students.

How to Avail NMMS Scholarship after Selection
The complete step by step procedure to apply for NMMS Scholarship is given below.
Step 1: The selected candidates required to open a bank account preferably in SBI or any other government bank.
Step 2: The selected candidate need to apply on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at https://scholarships.gov.in webiste.
Step 3: The final list of students processed for scholarships will be released at NSP portal.
Step 4: The amount of scholarship will be transfer directly to bank account of selected students through Direct benefit Transfer (DBT).
Step 5: The students need to renew their application annually. For continuing NMMS scholarship in class 10th and 12th, the students should get clear class 9th and 11th with minimum 60% marks in first attempt (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates).
