Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana List - Urban (PMAY-U) is a flagship mission of the Indian Government, implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The PM Awas Yojana mission was launched on 25th June 2015, with the vision to provide housing for all in urban areas by 2025.
This mission provides central assistance to implementing agencies through States and Union Territories (UTs) alongside Central Nodal Agencies (CNAs) to ensure housing for all eligible families. As of 18 November 2022, a total of 64.45 lakh houses have been completed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with 122.69 lakh houses sanctioned and 105.83 lakh houses grounded, amounting to a total investment of ₹8.31 lakh crore. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana List 2025
The primary goal of the PM Awas Yojana is to provide affordable housing to the urban and rural poor. The scheme aims to construct approximately 2 crore pucca houses, ensuring sustainable living with essential amenities. Eligible individuals can apply for benefits under various components of this scheme and check their beneficiary selection through the PMAY list.
Eligible Income Groups for PMAY Beneficiary Selection
Below are the eligible income groups for beneficiary selection under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:
- Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
- Women.
- Households qualifying for MIG-I and MIG-II CLSS categories, with a maximum annual family income of ₹12 lakh and ₹18 lakh, respectively.
- Households identified as LIG category, with an annual income under ₹6 lakh.
- EWS category households with an annual family income of ₹3 lakh.
