UP Cabinet Minister List 2026 is now complete. Uttar Pradesh Council of Ministers has reached its full sanctioned strength of 60 members after the expansion held on 10 May 2026 at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inducted six new faces and promoted two ministers of state in that round. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath. Uttar Pradesh now has 23 cabinet ministers, 16 ministers of state with independent charge, and 21 ministers of state.

UP Cabinet Minister List 2026 with Departments

Yogi Adityanath is serving his second straight term as Chief Minister. He keeps a long list of departments with himself, including Home, Personnel, Appointment, Vigilance, Housing and Urban Planning, Revenue, Mining and Minerals, State Taxes and Registration, Institutional Finance, Planning, Civil Aviation, Law and Legislative, Religious Affairs, and Public Works Department.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya looks after rural development and related work. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak handles medical education, health, family welfare, and mother and child welfare. Both have held the post since March 2022.

Cabinet ministers sit above ministers of state in the council. A cabinet minister heads departments and takes policy calls, while a minister of state assists in the day to day work. Ministers of state with independent charge run their own departments without a senior minister above them.

Departments that are not allotted to any minister stay with the Chief Minister. Details of the current team are given in the tables below.
