Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has released a notice regarding custom holidays list 2023 and list of restricted holidays for custom offices on its new official website. The Central Government Administrative offices across India have 14 important holidays that are mandatorily given to each and every employee of custom and indirect taxes department. The employees of Indirect Taxes and Customs are allowed to take two days leave in a year by choosing from list of restricted holidays declared by government of India.

Central Government has decided and published a detailed list of holidays for CG offices located in Delhi and throughout India for the year 2023. In order to provide priority for State-level local festivals and occasions, out of 17 Gazetted (closed) holidays, 14 holidays only declared and another 3 holidays will be selected by the respective state level committee. Here is a list of gazetted and restricted holidays of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Custom holidays list 2023.

All head offices and departmental offices of Indirect Taxes and Customs will remain close on holidays declared by CBIC department. List of 17 holidays declared by central government of India for custom offices and employees is given below.
