List of PSU in India: Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) means Central Government or any State Government holds more than 50% of paid-up share capital of a company. Government holds management, and administration control of a PSU Company. Public Sector Undertaking PSU can be categorize as Central PSU or State PSU depending upon the type of government holds it. PSUs are developing infrastructure and expanding the economy of the nation, and creating job opportunities for unemployed youths of the country. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) monitors all PSUs.

Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) or Center Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) are categorized into three group based upon different criteria of net profit, net worth, production and labour cost etc. as Maharatna, Navratna and Miniratna. The Miniratna companies are further divided into two category Miniratna Category-I (having 30 crore pre-tax profit annually) and Miniratna Category-II (can use up-to 50% of their net worth).
