Congress President List: The Indian National Congress (INC) was established by Allan Octavian Hume on December 28, 1885. The first president of the Congress party was Womesh Chandra Bonnerjee in 1885. The presidency of the INC is determined by an electoral college comprising members from the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) and the All India Congress Committee (AICC). Smt. Sonia Gandhi served as the president of the Congress Party for the longest duration, from 1998 to 2017 and again from 2017 to 2022.
