Commonwealth Games India Medal List 2026 is out. India finished fourth at Glasgow 2026 with 39 medals, which include 13 gold, 17 silver and 9 bronze. The Games ran from 23 July to 2 August 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland, and this was the 23rd edition of the event.
Boxing gave India its biggest gold haul with seven champions. Weightlifting, athletics, judo and para sports added the rest. This was India's 19th appearance at the Commonwealth Games, and the country stayed in fourth place for the second edition in a row.
Commonwealth Games India Medal List 2026 Glasgow
India sent 123 athletes to Glasgow and 38 of them came back with a medal. The programme was smaller than Birmingham 2022, with nine sports dropped, including wrestling, badminton, table tennis and hockey. Even with that, Indian boxers put up their best-ever show with 10 medals, and para athletes had their strongest campaign so far.
Mirabai Chanu opened India's gold count in weightlifting with a record lift and completed a hat-trick of Commonwealth Games titles. Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh then won India's first-ever Commonwealth Games gold medals in judo. Para athlete Sharmila Dhankar became the country's first para athletics gold winner at the Games.
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra took silver in the men's javelin throw, while Yashvir Singh took bronze in the same event. Gulveer Singh became the first Indian track and field athlete to win two individual medals at a single Commonwealth Games, with silver in the 10,000m and bronze in the 5,000m.

Bronze Medal Winners for India at Commonwealth Games 2026
India added nine bronze medals at Glasgow. Athletics gave five of them, and weightlifting, para powerlifting, para athletics and judo gave one each. Tejaswin Shankar became the first Indian to win a decathlon medal at the Commonwealth Games.

India sits fourth on the all-time Commonwealth Games medal table with 603 medals, which include 216 gold, 207 silver and 180 bronze. Australia leads the list with 2,775 medals, followed by England with 2,432 and Canada with 1,709.
Shooting has been India's most successful sport at the Games with 135 medals, including 63 gold, although it has not been part of the programme since Gold Coast 2018. Wrestling has given India 141 medals in total. Pistol shooter Jaspal Rana tops India's all-time winners list with 15 medals.
India's best-ever show came at New Delhi 2010, where the hosts won 101 medals and finished second. At Birmingham 2022, India finished fourth with 61 medals, including 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze. Glasgow 2026 was the second straight edition where India ended in fourth place.
