Ineligibility List of Kalia Yojana 2025

The KALIA scheme is designed for small and marginal farmers, landless agricultural households, and vulnerable agricultural households. Under KALIA scheme, life insurance support and interest-free crop loans are offered to cultivators and landless agricultural laborers, but the following individuals are not eligible to apply:

  • Medium and large farmers.
  • Individuals not residing in Odisha.
  • Applicants or their spouse employed by the government.
  • Applicants or their spouse receiving a pension.
  • Registered professionals with professional bodies.
  • Individuals who are current or former central or state ministers, MPs, or MLAs.
  • Income tax payers.

Eligibility for Odisha Kalia Yojana 2025

All small and marginal farmers, landless agricultural households, cultivators, croppers, and sharecroppers are eligible for the KALIA scheme. Currently, approximately 50 lakh families benefit from this initiative. The following are the eligibility criteria and required documents for the KALIA scheme:

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  • The applicant must belong to the small or marginal farmers category.
  • The applicant's family must fall under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
  • Any farmer who falls under the tax payment structure is ineligible for the Kalia Yojana.
