Leap Year List From 1900 to 3000 | How to Calculate Leap Year

Leap Year list from 1900 to 3000 is given below. A leap year also know as an intercalary year is a calendar year that contains an additional day added to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical year or seasonal year. Because astronomical events and seasons do not repeat in a whole number of days, calendars that have a constant number of days in each year will unavoidably drift over time with respect to event that the year is supposed to track, such as seasons.

The term leap year probably comes from the fact that a fixed date in the Gregorian calendar normally advances one day of the week from one year to the next, but the day of the week in the 12 months following the leap day (from March 1 through February 28 of the following year) will advance 2 days due to the extra day, thus leaping over one day in the week. How to Calculate Leap Year

Leap years happen every 4 years. Leap years have 366 days instead of the regular 365 days. The extra day is added in February, creating a new date the 29th of February, which occurs once in 4 years.
