Miss World Winners from India: Miss World is the oldest continuously running international beauty contest. Established on July 29, 1951, by Eric Morley in the United Kingdom, the pageant promotes the motto 'Beauty with a Purpose'. Besides being one of the four major international beauty pageants, it stands alongside Miss Universe, Miss Earth, and Miss International.
The title is awarded based on beauty, intelligence, personality, hard work, and sensitivity. After Eric Morley's passing in 2000, Julia Morley took over as chairwoman of the Miss World Organization.
