New SEBC List of Odisha 2023

New SEBC List of Odisha: The Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes has included 22 castes or communities in SEBC list (Socially and Educationally Backward Classes) on 04 May 2023 as per notification No. 8749/M&BCW of government of Odisha. In Odisha there is a reservation of 11.225% for SEBC category and there are already 210 castes or communities in SEBC list of Odisha. These 22 scheduled tribes are added to SEBC list of Odisha (already 210 castes/communities) through amendment of Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes Act 1993.

The 22 castes which are included in new SEBC list of Odisha are Ashtralohi, Ashtalohi, Karmakar, Viswa, Brahman(Sunari), Swaransilpi, Dhakhada, Gop, Sadgop, Dumal Gouda, Gopala, Gopapuria Gouda, Budho Kouriya, Kostha, Tulabhina,, Bunakar/Bunakara, Matibansa Tanti,Rangini Hansi, Ranguni Tanti, Kosalya Goudus, Bosotheriya, Kuralar, Malis, Korchia Malis, Podda Malis, Monger, Pagadai, Patra, Aswini, Membram, Kubara, Sahoo, Kurmi, Kurma Chasa, Mahla, Mahlar, Kalinji, Koppula Vellama, Kalwar, Kalal, Banayat Odiya, Benayit Odia, Kalandi Baishanaba, Kalandi Vaishnab and Kalanga.
