The site also provides data on the total number of Fund Transfer Orders (FTO) generated and the total number of beneficiaries under the IAY and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAYG) schemes. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, formerly known as Indira Awas Yojana, is a government initiative aimed at providing housing for the poor in rural areas. To further its objectives, a new initiative named Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana "Housing For All" (PMAY HFA-Urban) was introduced to meet housing needs by March 2025. According to the report from rhreporting.nic.in, the Ministry of Rural Development has set a target of constructing 2,94,03,621 houses but has registered a total of 3,16,80,609 houses under the IAY and PMAYG schemes. Currently, 3,10,36,526 houses have been geo-tagged, and 2,85,06,129 houses have been sanctioned, while a total of 2,17,26,684 houses have been completed.

  • PMAY-G Report: Under the PMAY-G scheme, a total of 28,63,5249 houses have been completed from 2014-2018 across all states and Union Territories in India. Currently, 17,73,090 houses are under construction, including 10,80,407 in West Bengal, 644298 in Uttar Pradesh, 32626 in Gujarat, and 15759 in Uttarakhand.
  • IAY Report: A total of 80,419 houses have been completed under the IAY scheme, with 2,06,680 houses currently in various stages of completion across the states.

How to Check Indira Awas Yojana IAY List 2025

The rhreporting portal is established by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, for beneficiaries to check their status and progress. Follow the steps below to check the Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) list:

Step 1: Visit the Ministry of Rural Development official website at rhreporting.nic.in or pmayg.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on "Stakeholders" and then choose "IAY / PMAYG Beneficiary".

Step 3: Use the direct link to access the beneficiary list for IAY and PMAYG scheme: Beneficiary List Link.

Step 4: Enter your Registration Number and click the "Submit" button to view the beneficiary list.

Step 5: If you don’t have a registration number, click on the "Advanced Search" option.

Step 6: Choose your State, Block, District, Panchayat, and Scheme Name, then enter your Name, BPL Number, Account Number, and click "Search" to find your details.

Step 4: Select your state and enter your PMAYID, then click on "Get Family Member Details".

Benefits of PMAY-G Scheme and IAY Scheme

  • The government aims to provide secure housing for homeless and destitute individuals in rural areas through the PMAY-G scheme.
  • Financial assistance under the PMAY-G scheme is granted in three different installments.
  • A total financial assistance of Rs. 40,000 is provided in three installments to help homeless families acquire housing.

Eligibility Criteria for PM Awas Yojana Gramin

  • Eligibility lists for kutcha houses under PM Awas Yojana Gramin are determined based on housing deprivation parameters from the 2011 Socio-Economic and Caste Census.
  • These lists are verified by local gram panchayats to refine the final beneficiaries.
  • Kutcha houses with 0, 1, or 2 rooms with kutcha roofs are included under PM Awas Yojana Gramin.
  • Households with no shelter are eligible under the PM Awas Yojana Gramin.
  • Those who have experienced manual scavenging are also included in the scheme.
  • Primitive tribal groups are considered under PM Awas Yojana Gramin.
  • Legally liberated bonded laborers are accommodated under PM Awas Yojana Gramin.

Exclusions from Eligibility for PMAY-G and IAY Schemes

  • Households with two, three, or four-wheelers are excluded from consideration for PM Awas Yojana Gramin.
  • Households with mechanized agricultural equipment are also not eligible.
  • Those with Kisan credit cards having limits above ₹50,000 are excluded from the schemes.
  • Households with government employees or earning more than ₹10,000 per month are not eligible.
  • Family members who are taxpayers are excluded from these schemes.
  • Landline phone owners are also ineligible for PM Awas Yojana Gramin.
  • Households possessing appliances like refrigerators and having more than 2.5 acres of irrigated land are excluded.
