UP Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana is running in Uttar Pradesh with a total outlay of about ₹1,220.92 crore for the period from FY 2022-23 to FY 2031-32. Around 1,475 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) are being formed under this scheme, roughly one in every development block of the state. There is no separate beneficiary list that a farmer has to download, because membership works through the FPO of the local block.
Cabinet led by CM Yogi Adityanath cleared the scheme on 3 December 2021. The main aim is to raise farmer income and get crops paid for faster. Wheat, sugarcane, maize and jowar growers get the main support. No individual online application form exists here, so a farmer joins by becoming a member of the FPO formed in the local block.
UP Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana 2026 Status and Budget
Uttar Pradesh budget for 2026-27 has set aside ₹10,888 crore for agriculture and allied activities. This covers FPO support along with micro-irrigation and natural farming. The scheme runs alongside the central plan for forming and promoting 10,000 FPOs, and the state target stays at one FPO in each of its 826 blocks over five years.
FPOs are formed at block level with support from NABARD, NAFED, SFAC and NCDC. Farmers of that area become members and get help with input supply, storage, marketing and better prices for their crops. Local agriculture officials and FPO cell staff handle block-wise progress, so timelines differ from district to district.
Who Can Join UP Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana
Basic conditions are simple. A farmer should be working on agricultural land in Uttar Pradesh and should have papers to show it. Check these points before going to the FPO or the local agriculture office.
- Applicant must be a farmer who is actively farming agricultural land in Uttar Pradesh.
- Only permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh can become members of an FPO formed under this scheme.
- Applicant should hold clear land documents and identity proof in their own name.

How to Join the Scheme or Check FPO Status
STEP 1 - Open the official UP agriculture portal at upagripardarshi.gov.in and look for the FPO or Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana section to see block wise updates.
STEP 2 - Visit the block agriculture office or the FPO office working in the area with the required documents and ask about membership in the local FPO.
STEP 3 - Get the 12 digit Farmer ID made, since the Agristack ID is now asked for membership records and most farm scheme benefits.
STEP 4 - Fill the FPO membership form and submit copies of land papers, Aadhaar, bank passbook and other documents that the office asks for.
STEP 5 - Keep the mobile number active and follow up with the FPO or agriculture office for updates on meetings, input supply and crop payments.
Farmer ID Is Now Needed for Farm Scheme Benefits
Since 2025, the 12 digit Farmer ID under the UP Agristack project has become required for most farm scheme benefits in the state, including PM Kisan installments. Farmers who do not have it yet can register on the Farmer Registry portal at upfr.agristack.gov.in or through the local Lekhpal or the nearest Common Service Centre. This ID also works as a base document for FPO membership.
