UPSC Exam Calendar : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the annual exam calendar for the year 2025 on its official website upsc.gov.in. According to Article 320 of the Constitution of India, UPSC conducts examinations for appointments to various services of the Union, including direct recruitment through selection interviews, promotions, and the framing and amendment of recruitment rules for different services and posts under the Government.
The first exam of UPSC in 2025 will be the Engineering Services Examination (Prelims) on a tentative date in February 2025. The notification for this examination will be released soon. Following this, the Civil Services Examination Prelims for IAS/IPS is tentatively scheduled for May 2025, with the mains of Civil Services Examination planned for September 2025. Additionally, the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) and the Combined Defense Services Examination (I) are also planned for tentative dates in April 2025. The UPSC will conduct the Civil Services (Prelims) Examination in May 2025. Candidates should start preparing as more than 10 lakh candidates participate every year. Approximately 11,000 qualify for the mains examination, with only 0.2% ultimately selected as IAS or IPS officers. The UPSC exam is among the most challenging examinations in India, but with the right preparation and guidance, candidates can succeed.
