Even though the scheme is now complete, the eligible list remains available for anyone who wants to verify their name or their group's details. As of 2026, there is no new YSR Aasara installment, so the 2020 to 2024 payment records are the ones you can check.

YSR Aasara was one of the schemes announced by the earlier government for the welfare of women from SC, ST, BC and minority communities. Around 90 lakh women across the state got the benefit of loan clearance through this single program. The amount was not paid as cash to the women; it was sent directly to the banks to close their SHG loans.

How the YSR Aasara Scheme Worked

The Andhra Pradesh government launched YSR Aasara to help women's self-help groups come out of the cycle of loans. Any SHG woman who had taken a loan before 11 April 2019 and still had outstanding dues was eligible. The government repaid those loans directly to the banks in four yearly installments.

The first installment was released on 11 September 2020 with around ₹6,318 crore for over 9.33 lakh SHGs with more than 90 lakh members. The second phase on 7 October 2021 covered about 78.76 lakh women of 7.97 lakh groups with ₹6,439 crore. The fourth and final payment on 23 January 2024 released ₹6,394 crore to 78,94,169 women of 7,98,395 self-help groups. With this final payment, the full loan waiver promise of the scheme was completed.
