    • Assistant civil surgeon is a MBBS Doctor and all MBBS Doctors working in Government hospitals are Gazetted Officers, whether he/she is a Group A or Group B officer depends upon his Grade pay and by which Commission he/she get recruited. All officers whose appointment is published in gazette of India or a State gazette, and issued a stamp from President of India or Governor comes under Gazetted Officers list and government employees with grade pay 10 to 18 are Group A officers and government employees with grade pay 6 to 9 are Group B Officers.
