Gujarat State Examination Board has announced Gyan Sadhana scholarship merit list 2023 for children belonging to weaker sections and underprivileged groups studying in government or govt aided primary schools from class-1 to 8 and have completed class 8th under Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. 25000 students from class 9th to 12th will be will be selected on the basis of the merit of this examination and they will be given scholarships for their studies from class 9 to 12 under Gyan Sadhana scholarship scheme. The state government of Gujarat will provided ₹20,000 per year for students of class 9th &10th and ₹25000 per year for class 11th & 12th students. The selection of candidates for Gyan Sadhana scholarship will be based on merit list and attendance of applicant must be 80%. After verification of documents, the provisional merit list of the students who are eligible for the scholarship will be published at Directorate of School Education website.
Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Merit List 2023
The students whose income at the time of Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Examination 2024 is below the income limit prescribed for admission under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, 2009 can apply for Gyan Sadhana scholarship scheme. On the basis of the merit of Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Examination 2024, the students can get admission in the self supporting or government granted secondary schools operating in the Gujarat state in class 9 to 12.
While preparing the state level list students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be included as per government norms and 50% of the beneficiaries will be girls in each category. After that, further action regarding the final merit list and scholarship will be done by the Office of the Director of Schools as per the provisions of the resolution, circulars under the scheme of the government.

Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be permanent residents of Gujarat.
- The student belonging to weaker sections and underprivileged groups studying in government or govt aided primary schools from class-1 to 8.
- The student have completed class 8th under Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.
- The students should be enrolled under class 9th to 12th standard.
- The annual family income of students should not be exceeded to ₹1.2 lakh in rural areas and ₹1.5 lakh for urban areas.
- The students should have at least 80% attendance in their class 8th.
