Important: The above four-wheeler slabs apply to private non-transport vehicles only. Commercial vehicles like taxis and buses are taxed on the basis of seating capacity, and the rates are different. Also, new vehicle owners have to pay this road tax within 30 days of buying the vehicle. If the tax is not paid on time, a penalty is charged for each day of delay.

How to Pay Haryana Road Tax Online

The Haryana Transport Department allows road tax payment online through its official website and the Parivahan portal. Payment can be made with a debit card, credit card, or net banking, and the receipt is generated instantly.

STEP 1 - Go to the official website of the Haryana Transport Department and click on the online services section for citizens.

STEP 2 - Select the Motor Vehicle Tax related online service option from the menu. Either pay the road tax for a Haryana registered vehicle or for a vehicle registered in another state.

STEP 3 - Enter the vehicle registration number and other required details such as the model and year of purchase.

STEP 4 - Choose the payment method, pay the tax amount, and download the receipt for future reference.
